I believe...

 I believe there is a different way of working and living our lives that is way more productive and fulfilling than the established norms.  A way that enables us, you, me, ordinary people, to live deeply fulfilling lives full of energy, joy, passion and purpose.  A way that releases the spark of unlimited potential that resides within all of us.  A way that means people are happier and healthier and have the energy to do anything they want.  A way that allows people to contribute, to be recognised for their contribution and to recognise their own contribution.

There is no place for short termism in this way of working, no place for bullies, for the ends justifying the means.  There is a place for mutual respect, creativity allowed to flourish, open and honest communication, lives lived (and allowed to be lived) with a purpose and in accordance with our deepest values.

It starts with, you, the individual, recognising that you have the power of self determination built in.  That you make choices about the way you live and work every second of every minute of every hour of every day.  That you can choose to do things differently…

It continues with you, the employer, the teacher, the politician having the vision, the courage and the commitment to something bigger and way more important than the bottom line, exam results, the latest opinion polls.  Knowing that if you enrol and engage people in your vision and purpose, if you give rather than take, if you create an environment and culture for productive, collaborative working that taps into the natural passion, creativity and energy of people then the results will take care of themselves.
